Overview
A soft adventure trek in Nepal’s middle hills, with awesome backdrop of the Annapurna Ranges!!
A week below Annapurna Poonhill trek is well suited for the beginners or for those who have limited time to do Annapurna Base Camp Trek but still want to experience real trekking in Nepal. Also considered as a mini Annapurna Trek, it starts from Syauli Bazar, a couple of hours drive from Pokhara. The trip takes you through dense rhododendron forest of Annapurna Conservation Area Project and fascinating traditional villages dominated by the families of brave Gurkha warriors, the Gurungs – a nice opportunity to witness both nature and culture of Nepali countryside. Along the way, there are spectacular views of the snowy peaks of the Annapurna Ranges and the varied views of Machhapuchhre, popularly known as Fishtail. It’s an easy trek winding through highland settlements including Tadapani and Ghorepani that cap off at Poonhill, a pre-dawn trekking destination, popular for the unforgettable mountain panorama and breathtaking sunrise view. The trip can be done throughout the year except during monsoon (July & August).
